Colors of Influence shares stories of purpose and intention, highlighting Black, Brown, indigenous and immigrant leaders of color who are committed to uplifting diversity, equity and inclusion. Interviews with business & civic leaders, academics, artists, authors and entrepreneurs discuss values-based approaches to advancing racial justice, with an intersectional lens. I'm your host, Maileen Hamto (Pinay/Tagalog). I work to advance diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) in organizations while also pursuing doctoral studies in Leadership in Educational Equity at the University of Colorado Denver. My research interests focus on operationalizing DEI in organizational contexts through practices informed by critical race theory, liberatory pedagogy, decoloniality and anti-racism approaches.
